For those of you that live in the Phoenix area there is quite the hidden gem over at Tom’s Thumb Fresh Market. I was introduced to them  a couple months ago because they wanted to host a gluten-free foodie tour. Yes it’s a gas station and a car wash but what you don’t see is what happens when you walk in the front door. They have a full kitchen, dining area, desert bar, coffee bar and drink station as well. Not to mention they have a market that serves all sorts of food and drinks. I’ve actually found myself heading over there a few times because the wifi is extremely fast and it is an enjoyable place to work with a courteous and attentive staff.

The market has a dedicated gluten-free section where you can by various snacks and a frozen section where you can buy breads, pizza and other goodies. I will warn you though that the staff will not certify anything they make in the kitchen as being gluten-free because they don’t have the space yet to prevent cross-contamination. I believe it could be done in the future but as of now they’re increasing the amount of products that are gluten-free and this is the perfect place to pick up items and enjoy the nice atmosphere.

Reps were on hand for each of the vendors to discuss product safety and their commitment to offering a great tasting gluten-free product. We were also informed about Tom’s Thumb Fresh Market various wines by Chuck Hesson the market manager who is also a certified Sommelier. He’s stocked the market with a diverse selection of quality and affordable wines.
