Back in September of last year I wrote several blog posts that discussed the issues I was having with energy and strength issues due to food allergies. One thing that I knew was I wasn’t absorbing all the nutrients in the food I was eating, my body was rejecting most foods and because of those key factors I was exhausted all the time and my workouts suffered. I’m a fitness nut and I’m usually in the gym 6 times a week along with other various physical activities. I met up with Nutrasumma who pretty much assured me they could help. I did a case study for them back in September of 2012 which you can read HERE. I then followed up the case study with a blog post on how my energy was up and my fatigue was down which can be read HERE.

I’m happy to report that all of my concerns have now been taken care of because of Nutrasumma. Since my energy was down and I had difficulty sleeping my workouts suffered big time. This honestly made me more depressed than the energy issues because my workouts mean everything to me. I only lasted about 45 minutes in the gym, I lost 90 pounds off my bench and I would get exhausted after 15 minutes of regular cardiovascular exercise. After Nutrasumma suggested four different products to take I can happily say my workouts are way above anything I ever expected. I was maxing out at 3 reps of 225 pounds and now I’m benching 315 pounds 8 times! I’m in the gym on average 1.5 hours 6 days a week, my cardio is up and my muscle fatigue is down. Here’s why……

Pea Protein

One of the greatest values of this type of protein is that it is a non-dairy source of protein. Dairy products have a tendency to allow inflammation (water retention) and the absence of this quality plays a large role in diminishing unwanted water weight, as well as helping to create an ideal environment for physical improvement. Nutra Summa’s Pea Protein has an extensive amino acid profile, the addition of immune balancing compliment of colostrum, as well as a great taste to a high quality product. I usually mix the pea protein with a little bit of juice, water, blueberries, cherries, grapes, raspberries, pineapple, kale, spinach, a banana and ice. It tastes fantastic and I will usually consume 30-40 grams of pea protein everyday. The protein is so smooth, has no gritty flavor and comes in 5 different flavors.

Amino Clear, Creatine and Arginine Plus

Amino Clear, Creatine and Arginine Plus

I’ve taken creatine in the past but I was always concerned with the water weight gain I experienced. I always gained size and strength using creatine but usually felt bloated. They assured me that their creatine wouldn’t make me retain water weight and here are some of the benefits of using it:

  • Enhances athletic performance
  • Fuels short bursts of activity
  • Increases lean muscle mass
  • Improves muscle strength
  • Decreases recovery time

Amino Clear

This is one of Nutrasumma’s featured products and I found after I started using it my muscle fatigue went away and my recovery times increased. Here are some of its benefits:

  • Supports muscle recovery
  • Increases power and energy when you work out
  • Helps preserve lean body muscle

Arginine Plus

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I heard about this product other than it was going to give me a ton of energy without the jitters. Here are some of it’s benefits:

  • Increases exercise capacity
  • Delays onset of fatigue
  • Improves blood flow to the heart of muscles

All of these products used together are why I believe I can now sustain 6 days a week of lifting weights, a variety of cardiovascular exercises, yoga, hiking and running from time to time. The products are pure and made with the highest quality ingredients. I’ve toured the facility and they take food allergies seriously which is why I’ve never reacted to any of the products I’ve been taking over the last 8 months.

Thanks Nutrasumma!!

As long as you stay well hydrated, creatine should not cause water retention. Just be cautious, it can be hard on your kidneys if you don’t stay well hydrated.

Thanks for the tip, they’ve been very good at making me aware of potential side effects. :)
